The 3rd National Arts and Crafts Education Conference opened in Beijing

On September 27, 2025, the "Third National Arts and Crafts Education Conference" jointly hosted by the Academy of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University and the China Arts and Crafts Society opened in Beijing. Wang Zhuzhu: Caring for the mental health of teenagers and establishing an art therapy center

1、 Case: According to the Chinese Mental Health Survey, the lifetime prevalence of depression among adults in China is 6.8%, with depression accounting for 3.4%. Currently, there are 95 million people suffering from depression in China, with approximately 280000 people committing suicide each year, of which 40% suffer from depression. Depression patients under the age of 18 account for 30% of the total population, and 50% of depression patients are school students. The group of depression patients is showing a trend of youthfulness, calling on society to urgently pay attention to the mental health of minors. Depression is a common psychological disorder, and the main causes of depression are emotional stress and family parent-child relationships, which can bring serious negative effects to patients
