近日，由澳大利亚多元文化部、澳大利亚联合国协会西澳分会、The Lantern Collective、亚洲艺术疗愈研究院联合主办的大地的韵律·国际艺术作品展在澳大利亚珀斯市政厅隆重开幕。本次展览是聚焦自然生态与人文共生的国际化重磅艺术大展，秉持高标准、专业化的办展理念，邀请多国权威艺术专家组成国际评审团，历经多轮严格遴选与专业评审，从全球海量参赛作品中择优收录精品力作，以严苛的评审标准、多元的创作视角，呈现当代国际艺术的高品质水准与跨界融合魅力。开幕式现场汇聚政府、外交、艺术学界及多元文化社区近两百位嘉宾，共同见证这场联结艺术、自然与跨国文化交流的顶级艺术盛会。
作为本次活动的特色开篇环节，开幕式由Noomgar族长者主持正统的Welcome to Country原住民欢迎仪式，庄重致敬珀斯土地的传统守护者Whadjuk部族人民。独具地域人文特色的仪式，溯源本土文化根脉，传递敬畏自然、尊重多元文明的理念，为整场国际展览奠定了包容共生、平等交融的核心基调，也生动诠释了展览扎根自然、融汇多元的核心创作内核。
澳大利亚联合国协会西澳分会会长Randhi Amoangthan出席活动并致辞，紧扣联合国2030可持续发展目标（SDGs）阐释艺术的时代价值与社会力量。他表示，艺术虽未纳入联合国17项可持续发展独立目标，却深度贯穿生态保护、文化传承、社会包容等诸多发展领域，是跨越语言、种族、文化与政治隔阂的通用国际语言。不同地域、不同背景的人们能够共情艺术、读懂艺术，正是艺术唤醒公众同理心、凝聚社群力量的核心体现。同时，艺术为边缘群体提供了自我表达的平台，有效推动公众关注生态环保、可持续发展与社区文化建设，是助力全球可持续发展的重要软性力量。
珀斯市议员Lisa Ma代表珀斯市长Basil Zempilas出席并发表致辞。她以交响乐为精妙比喻，指出动人的乐章从非单一乐器独奏，而是万千音色交融共生的和谐旋律。她提到，世人虽语言、文化、阅历各不相同，但艺术能够打破壁垒，让人们在作品面前产生共鸣、深度思考。在她看来，大地的韵律·不仅是一场艺术展，更是一场跨文化、跨社群、人与自我内心的深度对话。她寄语现场观众，希望大家能借着这场艺术之旅收获全新感悟，以全新的视角审视自然与世界，读懂大地与艺术的共生之美。

Recently, Rhythms of the Earth – International Art Exhibition grandly opened at Perth Town Hall, Australia, co-hosted by the Office of Multicultural Affairs Western Australia, United Nations Association of Australia (Western Australia Division), The Lantern Collective and the Asian Institute of Art Therapy. As a landmark international art exhibition focusing on the coexistence of natural ecology and humanity, the event adheres to high-standard and professional curatorial principles. An international jury consisting of authoritative art experts from multiple countries was assembled. After several rounds of rigorous selection and professional appraisal, outstanding artworks were shortlisted from numerous global submissions. By virtue of stringent judging criteria and diverse creative perspectives, the exhibition showcases the high calibre of contemporary international art as well as the charm of interdisciplinary integration. Nearly 200 guests from government bodies, diplomatic circles, art academia and multicultural communities gathered at the opening ceremony to witness this premier artistic gala linking art, nature and cross-cultural exchange across borders.
As a distinctive opening segment of the event, the ceremony featured an authentic Welcome to Country led by an elder of the Noongar people, paying solemn tribute to the Whadjuk Noongar, the traditional custodians of the land of Perth. Rich in regional cultural characteristics, the ceremony traces the roots of Indigenous culture and conveys respect for nature and diverse civilisations. It sets a keynote of inclusiveness, coexistence and equal integration for the entire international exhibition, and vividly interprets its core creative ethos: rooted in nature and embracing diversity.
Randhi Amoangthan, President of United Nations Association of Australia (Western Australia Division), attended the event and delivered an address. Elaborating on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030, he expounded on the contemporary value and social power of art. He noted that although art is not listed as one of the 17 standalone UN Sustainable Development Goals, it runs deeply through numerous development areas including ecological conservation, cultural heritage and social inclusion, serving as a universal international language transcending barriers of language, ethnicity, culture and politics. The ability of people from all regions and backgrounds to resonate with and understand art epitomises how art awakens public empathy and unites communities. Meanwhile, art offers marginalised groups a platform for self-expression, effectively raising public awareness of environmental protection, sustainable development and community cultural development. It constitutes a vital soft power advancing global sustainable development.
Lisa Ma, Perth City Councillor, attended and spoke on behalf of Perth Mayor Basil Zempilas. Drawing an elegant analogy with symphonic music, she remarked that a captivating movement never relies on a single solo instrument, but emerges from harmonious melodies woven by countless sounds. She stated that despite differences in language, culture and life experience, art breaks down barriers and enables people to connect and engage in profound reflection in the face of artistic creations. In her view, Rhythms of the Earth is more than an art exhibition — it represents an in-depth cross-cultural, cross-community dialogue, as well as a conversation between humans and their inner selves. She extended her wishes to all attendees, hoping that this artistic journey would bring fresh insights, inspiring audiences to observe nature and the world from new perspectives, and appreciate the harmonious beauty shared by the earth and art.
Showcasing premium artworks from nations across the globe spanning painting, video, installation and other mediums, the exhibition interprets the rhythms of nature and ecological beauty through artistic expression. Hosted at Perth Town Hall, an iconic urban cultural landmark, it stands as a significant practice for international artistic exchange. Supported by an authoritative international jury and a high-calibre roster of exhibitors, this major exhibition not only enriches Western Australia’s multicultural landscape and brings world-class international art experiences to local residents, but also builds a premium platform for cross-border mutual learning among civilisations with art as the bond.
